ETISALAT PLANS BIG FOR NIGER DELTA, OPENS SHOP IN PH
TELECOMMUNICATIONS giants, Etisalat Nigeria, yesterday threw the doors of their Customer Centre in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, to cater for the South-East, and the South-South geo-political zones. The company also promised to unveil its development package for the Niger Delta bny December ending or early next year.
The company's Brands and Communications Director, Yinka Akande, said opening their Port Harcourt shop was part of their strategy to deliver premium service to the Nigerian market.
The facility, according to him, ''is designed to serve as a location for personal customer interaction, response to enquiries and query resolution, providing access to Etisalat products and value added services''.
Although he did not disclose the nature and scope their package for the Niger Delta will take, he, however, pointed out, ''it will fall within our seven core values of which care is very paramount''.
The company which was lauched commercially in the country in October this year, making Nigeria the 17th among its global network of telecommunications operations says it wants to be among the 10 biggest players in the world by 2010.
To be there, Etisalat believes that three things will stand it out. These are innovation, customer centrality, and simplicity.
During a guided tour of the Port Harcourt shop, our correspondent said he found out that a key part of the facility is the Shop Interactives. These are zones within the shop which employ high tech gadgets, Internet connectivity to provide an interface for customers to gain full and wide access to the brand experience.
Meanwhile, Etisalat Nigeria is yet to be officially launched in its Port Harcourt operational area.
