The Speaker of the House of Representatives Rt. Hon. Dimeji Bankole becomes a father yesterday as his wife Laitan was delivered of a baby girl in a private hospital Ghana.

His wife , Laitan a final year medical student in Ghana had a private marriage ceremony with Rt. Hon. Bankole about nine months ago.

According to Kayode Odunaro,Special Adviser, Communication, Bankole, who presided over the House sitting before adjourning for a six week vacation flew to Ghana at 4.30pm to be at the side of his wife in the maternity and the baby was delivered around around 6 pm.
