Dr. Unoke |
The Nigerian born international Relations expert, Dr. Ewa Unoke has been named as a member of the Advisory Committee of the United States Civil Rights Commission. He is a well known advocate of sub-altern and underprivileged people’s protection and respect.
A leading light of the Ezza clan of Ebonyi State, South Eastern Nigeria. A two-time war survivor, he lived through the horrors of the Nigerian Biafran war as a teenager and later witnessed the horrendous bloody war in Liberia where he lost both people and valuable investment.
He is professor of Political Science and Comparative Politics at Kansas City Kansas Community College, Kansas.
In January of 2008, he obliged Pointblanknews.com to begin the serialization of his most recent works, the acclaimed classic: Africa in the World of Mendacity: Understanding the African Condition and Why Political Paranoids can be Prosecuted.”
The Commission has advisory committees in all 50 states and the District of Columbia to assist in its fact-finding function. Committees receive reports, suggestions and recommendations from individuals, public and private organizations, and public officials and forward advice and recommendations to the Commission. Committee members are appointed for two years and serve without compensation.
In addition to teaching Political Science, Dr. Unoke is the editor of the KCKCC E-Journal. He earned a PhD in Political Science from Howard University in Washington, D.C., and holds degrees in political science from the University of Nigeria in Nsukka and the University of Liberia in Monrovia. His two majors include International Relations and Comparative Politics with Africa as his region area of concentration.
A motivational speaker and author of several books, his most recent published this year is “ Africa in a World of Mendacity: Understanding the African Condition and Why Political Paranoids can be prosecuted.” His other books include “Ever Bold to Battle Wrong: Black Liberation Pedagogy and Reflections on American Transitional Justice,” 2006; “Drumbeats of Destiny,” 1997; and “The Untold Story of the Liberian War,” 1993.
Dr. Unoke also presented a paper “Paranoids can be prosecuted” at the 2007 NCORE Conference in San Francisco and is a reader in American Government for the Advanced Placement and Examination Testing Services.
