Oh Infertile VANGUARD!

For sometime now, the element operating VANGUARD newspaper in Nigeria have been ruled uncouth and completely disrespectful in the tone, tenor, innuendos, exaggerations, and fabrications thrown at us pointblanknews.com. At pointblanknews.com, we do no have the time for the childish tic-tac that VANGUARD is interested in. Their latest misguided interpretative copy, run with kindergarten glee claim that pointblanknews.com admitted lying in reporting the proceedings of a Lagos Magistrate Court. This is not true. The editors of VANGUARD do not understand simple rule of grammar. They do not know a probable subjunctive? so they couldn’t distinguish between if an actual occurrence?.
If indeed pointblanknews.com has ever mixed up facts or names since the improper prosecution of Mr. Steve Ogwu-Chinua began, we apologize to the Magistrate. We do not owe VANGUARD any apology.
The piece of toxic concoction which the VANGUARD attempted to service a no longer lethargic public failed in its entirety to address the important allegation of the gruesome decapitation of the yet to be identified 11 year old boy. In their now familiar hurry to do the bidding of their enslaver, the poorly educated so-called journalists again, without success, tried to pull their hollow ritual wool on the eye of the highly critical public.
This matter is about the murdered boy who has refused to die. His soul is crying for justice against Mrs. Amuka and her accomplices.
The lies often told by VANGUARD are usually cheap. They have long ceased being journalists; they have become hack-writers, propagandists and pathological sociopaths. This can best be illustrated by the cold shoulders often given their reporters at assignments.
When VANGUARD reporters identify themselves, people expect them to say “So and so, representing Otokoto VANGUARD.”
In their attempt to further pull a fast one on the public, the copy hurriedly pasted on their epileptic website on Friday March 29, 2009 admitted that Mrs. Amuka was introduced by Lola in London to spiritualists to secure a cure for a sick child.
Mrs. Amuka comes to court all the time with one fake Pentecostal bishop, always wearing a huge cross, almost double the size of the original one on which Jesus Christ was crucified. That is an indication of insincerity of faith on the part of Mrs. Amuka.
When someone falls sick, no matter how bad, in London, the first person to consult with is an orthodox physician. So why did the phantom Lola recommend ritualist Islamic clerics to Mrs. Amuka? What would they have done to heal the sick boy? Another question to Mr. & Mrs. Amuka, VANGUARD and Nigerian Police is this. Was Mrs. Amuka bundled into the plane from London to the ritualist’s shrine since the blood money blinded Nigerian Police claimed she was forced or stage managed to hold the 11 year old boy’s head? The murdered boy’s soul has refused to die and it is now demanding rational answers.
The gutter publication called VANGUARD Newspaper, with its corky hypnotized ignoramus journalists admitted in their so-called background information, that Mrs. Amuka did place hands on the murdered boy’s head. Why did she do that in the shrine? Was the boy her son? Friday’s Lagos Weekend a publication of Daily Times, alleged that after the unfortunate child was killed that day, the ritualists were actually preparing to kill another person before the Police stormed the crime scene. So they were virtually operating a slaughter chamber. And that was where Mrs. Amuka the holy wife of Pemu Amuka went to seek healing for her sick child who lived in London.
The reading public must also remember that healing for the sick child in London only constitute one of the core reasons allegedly adduced by Mrs. Amuka for carrying out the ritual killing. She was said to have also told the police that she needed enchantment against the editors and reporters at VANGUARD. She also needed to gain financial control of the company. She purportedly wanted her husband to stop seeing rival women and devote undivided attention to their relationship.
They said she was forced to do everything that she did. Who forced her? Why was there no such indication to the original Panti Police report, purportedly destroyed after ₦4m was paid to Babatunde Jonathan?
They claimed that she sent forty thousand Pounds to “blackmailers” from London; she should present the paper trail of the transaction and the people who allegedly received the money.
How was Mrs. Amuka able to leave Nigeria for London while facing murder charge? How well has Mrs. Amuka conducted herself over the affair? How come she was locked up for three days without the husband knowing her where about?
VANGUARD in its fickle and petty jealousy of the soaring success of pointblanknews.com described our reporters as faceless. Our reporters have faces, but they lay low so that they would not fall victim for ritual killers.
They said we are guilty of inaccuracies. We ask them: In whose court? In almost thirty years of VANGUARD’s existence, they have never stayed ahead of anyone in breaking news. No remarkable scoop or exclusive news. Disgraceful. We are grateful for the Wisdom of Solomon that manifests at pointblanknews.com. Let VANGUARD swallow its useless uneventful long years of disgraceful existence.
We do not blackmail. VANGUARD does, we have never offered money to any body to run stories for us. Yes we are standard bearers for holding ourselves accountable in the media in order to better serve the cause of truth and objectivity. We do not apologize for that. VANGUARD operators are the ones that have bewitched the press to avoid reporting the truth.
The infantile smear mitigated by an old man like Mr. Pemu Amuka did not do much to dissuade the public from believing that the Vanguard is the rookie public relations arm of the in effective and utterly corrupt Nigeria Police.
The following lies were told by the VANGUARD:
1. That we have an office in Washington. Which Washington? Are they talking of State of Washington or Washington, District of Columbia? No.
The truth: Every city and town in America does not go by the name Washington the VANGUARD demonstrated poor knowledge of basic Geography. Our corporate headquarters is located on the tenth floor of landmark building in Manhattan, New York. That is the vortex and headquarters of World business and economy. And in case they are thinking crazy that they want to send their hooligan sons and contract killer, the competent, professional N.Y.P.D is eagerly waiting for them.
2. They lied that Amuka’s son did not assault Chief Giwa Amu. Yes, he did.
Truth: The young man had no proper parenting, after a drag of marijuana and other God knows what, decided to further show the public his dysfunctional upbringing.
3. VANGUARD said that Magistrate A.Y. Omoyele did not order the Police to “produce proof of evidence” or else have their case struck out. Of course, she told them a piece of her mind.
Truth: VANGUARD reporters never listen. They were probably fighting over Amuka’s blood honorarium. So were they expecting Magistrate Omoyele to join them for a picnic if their petty, little minded, conniving Police backers fail to produce proof of evidence at the next sitting?
VANGUARD and its Publisher do not fear God. They respect no law. They did not deny the allegation that they have proposed to stage “accidental shooting” against Mr. Steve Ugwu-Chinua, Chief Giwa Amu and the editor of pointblanknews.com.
It is sad that every drop of ink from these quack journalists at the Vanguard expose their emptiness. How can they say that we are faceless? Is it that they do not see our pictures on our website?
Oh they want to see us in person so that they would give the shrine treatment. We know better than exposing ourselves to danger. However, we promise that if Mr. Amuka and his wife make known their next visit to the U.S. they would have an honest trial.
They should stop turning their nose in snobbery against Nigerians abroad. Those descendants of slavers at VANGUARD should weep instead of gloating at hardworking professionals, who are committed to the truth, operate from abroad. They are complacent and collaborating in ensuring that honest journalists from VANGUARD often defect at the slightest opportunity to travel abroad with Nigerian officials. Thank God we came to the U.S. through the honest route.
VANGUARD is always juvenile and reactionary. They are trying to rubbish Chief Amu’s commitment to the pursuit of truth. They are trying to rubbish his clean record by mischaracterizing him as a “Petition Writer.” That is shameless. That is a worn out attach for describing those who have always exposed the truth in Nigeria. Only within the fold of VANGUARD would a hardworking lawyer be given such an irresponsible label.
The public should know that VANGUARD has made huge money claiming to be practicing newspaper publishing. The truth: it does not have the integrity and elegance of Punch, Guardian, This Day, Tell, The Nation, The News, The Sun, National Life, or Tribune and the other credible media houses. They connived with the military. They endorse lawlessness. And worst of all the wife of their publisher has allegedly killed a little boy in out right barbarism. And they are mouthing well rehearsed routes in her support. They must be held accountable.
With the kind of the honest and impartial enquiry and trial we are demanding, every honest journalist and members of the public must join us.
The public must call on Chief Amuka to stop parading himself as the Grand Patron of Newspaper proprietors of Nigeria.
The General Manager and Executor-in-Chief of the VANGUARD must also step himself down as the President of Nigerian Guild of Editors.
