President Jonathan congratulates Magobuenje at 80

President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has congratulated Professor Akin Mabogunje as he attained the age of eighty, today.

President Jonathan recalled his numerous contributions in the field of Geography and urban planning in Nigeria and Africa, serving at various times in government, and more recently as the Chairman, Presidential Technical Committee on Land Reform in Nigeria.

The President said Prof. Mabogunje’s commitment, dedication, contributions and achievements have earned him well deserved respect and recognition, adding that Prof. Mabogunje is a distinguished scholar and teacher whose exemplary life is worthy of emulation by the younger generations.

President Jonathan wished Prof. Mabogunje well on his birthday, and many more years of service to Nigeria and humanity.
