Anambra and Delta States to collaborate for common good

Anambra State Governor Dr. Peter Obi and his Delta State counterpart Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan have promised to cooperate in areas of common interest to promote development in the two states.
Addressing the press after a meeting in Asaba, Anambra State Governor Dr Peter Obi said Delta and Anambra share common boundary, cultural and economic similarities and should cooperate to move both States forward.
Dr Obi said Delta has great potentials in micro credit and was interested in exploring these great things that make the State progressive.
He said the meeting provided opportunity for them to share ideas and learn from each other so that each State would harness their resources and accelerate development.
Assuring that Anambra and Delta would not relent in their efforts to promote and sustain their ties, the Governor commended Dr Uduaghan for his peaceful disposition.
In his remarks, Delta State Governor Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan said the meeting afforded the two Governors opportunity to compare notes on areas of common interest.
Dr Uduaghan said both States have a lot in common and promised to tap from the achievements of Anambra State especially on Environmental Sanitation.
He described Anambra State Environmental Sanitation Programme as impressiveand promised to reposition that of delta to achieve more success.
His words” we have a lot in common and we are learning from each other so that together we transform the living standard of our people”
He was optimistic that a problem shared is half solved even as he explained that it was better to pool ideas together to solve developmental problems. |
