Yoruba youths laud Jonathan over FERMA Chairman’s appointment
The Yoruba Youths Consultative Forum (YYCF) has lauded the appointment
of Engr. Ezekiel Jide Adeniyi as the Chairman of the Federal Emergency
Roads Management Agency (FERMA), describing the appointment as well
deserved.
The group also commended President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan for always
putting round pegs in round holes, saying; “the president has by the
appointments made so far shown that he is serious about transforming
the country.”
YYCF, in a statement signed by its Director of Communications, Mr. Ayo
Olorunsola asserted that; “the appointment of Engr Adeniyi as the
Chairman of FERMA is another testimony that President Jonathan is
desirous to build this nation and ready to bring on board competent
men and women to man all the strategic posts.”
The described Engr. Adeniyi as a professional engineer and technocrat
of immeasurable experience and exposure needed to put FERMA in the
breath of the transformation agenda of Mr President.
''We are confident that Engr Adeniyi will make a better and greater
impact at FERMA which will invariably affect Nigerians who commute
daily on some of these deadly Federal roads,” YYCF said.
The group called on the new Chairman of FERMA to see his appointment
not only as a call to serve but as a test of his personal integrity
and professional competence, adding that; “FERMA efforts at making
federal roads in the country, especially those in the South Western
part that are crying motorable must be redoubled. ”
“Nigerians and Nigeria are eagerly waiting to see a rapid and
impressive performance of FERMA during your tenure.
“We therefore call on the new Chairman not to waiver but to put his
wealth of professional experience, exposure and credibility to work at
FERMA, for to whom much is given, much is expected,” the group said.
