UME-ZEOKE EXPELLED FROM CNPP
The Conference of Nigeria Political Parties{CNPP}, after the Central Working Committee meeting of 14th September 2007, resolved to expel Chief Edwin Umezeoke, from the CNPP and calls on the All Nigeria Peoples Party{ANPP} to expel him forthwith.
CNPP came to this painful decision, after reveiwing the anti-party and anti-democratic activities of Chief Umezeoke weeks before and after the April 2007 elections. For the avoidance of doubts we herby list the allegations as follows:
1} that Chief Umezeoke contrary to the primary mandate of the CNPP to srenghten and deepen multi-party democracy in Nigeria is working in favour of consolidating one party state.
2} that against the ethos and core values of democracy, out of personal interest and come chop politics, is subverting and sabotaging election petitions of ANPP candidates natinwide, example is the reckless withdrawal of ANPP Presidential Election Petition.
3}that Chief Umezeoke shamefully last week went out of his way to embrace the rogue Speaker, Mrs Patricia Etteh, whom even PDP is distancing from.
4] that in utter disregard to the pending suit of young Alhaji Usman Abubakar vs David Mark in the Benue South Senatorial race, Chief Umezeoke, recklessly mounted campaign in favour of David Mark, covertly conveying wrong message to the public.
5} that Chief Umezeoke mischivously on the 13th of September 2007 filed motion to the Presidential Election Tribunal requesting to substitute Chief Mike Ahamba{SAN}, counsel to General Muhammadu Buhari, with his counsel.
Chief Umezeoke's defence that he withdrew the ANPP Presidential suit in the national interest, did not hold water for the country is not at war. Rather is PDP and the Electoral Commission that subverted our nascent democracy.

CNPP's question is; of what value is the ANPP to PDP that allocated over 800 State House of Assembly seats out of 990 and over 290 Federal House seats out of 360 and 86 Senate seats out of 109 in the sham elections? The only use of Chief Umezeoke and company is to consolidate the one party state and legitimise the illegitimacy of the sham elections.
After careful reveiw of the allegations and evidences submitted, we came to the inevitable conclusion to expel Chief Umezeoke from our organisation and call on ANPP to do same. Chief Umezeoke has demonstrated that he is incapable of leading major opposition party, because he has no principles. He should go back to the PDP, where he rightly belongs.
Finally, we urge General Muhammafu Buhari , Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and other candidates natinwide whose mandate were stolen, to continue the legal fire works at the Elections Ttribunals, as the world cannot be wrong that the elections were substantially flawed. We are solidly behind you and no amount of orchestra of deception will cover the sham called elections.
