Ex-President : Olusegun Obasanjo |
FORMER Nigerian leader, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, a retired military general, who dominated the country's politics for eight years (May 29, 1999-May 28,2007), will soon pay for the alleged atrocities he committed against the citizenry during his regime as Nigeria's president.
From the oil-producing state of Akwa Ibom, the incumbent governor, Godswill Akpabio, is said to be sitting on a chair with broken legs.
Renowned spiritual consultant and seer, Bassey Orok, told our correspondent on Monday, in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital that has been a theatre of cult war for two weeks now that nemesis will soon catch up with Obasanjo and Akpabio.
''Obasanjo should get ready to face what will soonbefall him as the result of the crimes he committed against Nigeria during his tyranical rule as president. There is no way he will be able to escape the looming calamity. A serious danger, and misfortune awaits Obasanjo from all fronts'', the seer said.
Accorging to him, ''the way things are unfolding, the former Nigerian leader who handed over to Umar Yar'Adua on May 29, 2007 will soon find it very difficult to enter the Presidential Villa. There are also strong indications that his romance with the Presidency will be thwarted.''
Orok is claiming that the eight years of Obasanjo administration was characterised by human rights abuses, subversion of due democratic process, and a fiendish attempt to stand the 1999 Constitution on the head for a selfish tenure elongation scheme.

If the claim of this spiritual consultant is anything to go by, Obasanjo will not be going down alone. Some of the ''powerful'' individuals and companies that supported him, are also expected to face the music.
''Obasanjo wanted be a life president if he had succeded in his aborted third term project. By the time the law will finish with Obasanjo, Nigerians will come to know that he commited worse crimes than the very one that purportedly took him to prison.
For Akpabio, he said he has a lot of questions awaiting him.''Tell Akpabio that he should delude himself by hoping to stay in office for four years. There are no records in the spiritual sphere to show for that. He is on what lawyers would like to refer to as holding brief in Akwa Ibom, for the authentic governor to emerge'', he said.
Continuing, he added, ''at the moment, Akpabio is trying to chew bones that are stronger than his teeth. He will have a see his doctor soon as a result of the pains that will follow. For his administration, the dark clouds are gathering. There will soon be a heavy downpour''.
