Nigeria's Nwankwo Kanu has handed a final ultimatum to Portsmouth that he is ready to leave Fratton Park if the club do not offer him a two-year deal.
Kanu's future on the South Coast has been placed in jeopardy as Pompey are only willing to offer the striker a new one-year contract, despite his impressive performances last season.
"If I can't get a two-year contract, then I am prepared to leave. I have done my best and shown my commitment to Portsmouth. I have fulfilled my own side of our agreement and it is up to them now," Kanu said.
Ajax and Werder Bremen are both believed to be closely monitoring the former Arsenal man's situation after he rejuvenated his reputation by claiming 12 Premiership goals.
