Tonye Princewill: A Cut On Peter Obi & Andy Uba by Odimegwu Onwumere

Tonye Princewill: A Cut On Peter Obi & Andy Uba

The political squabble between Governor Peter Obi of Anambra State and Dr. Andy Uba seemed to have come to an end.  This followed the ruling of the Supreme Court. Andy Uba was thrown to the dustbin. The people saw the victory as right as against Uba’s vicious plot to deny the people of Anambra State the purposeful and equal leadership offered by Governor Peter Obi. The Judiciary is actually the bastion of the Nigeria’s hard earned democracy and the last hope of ordinary Nigerian.  With this ruling Prince Tonye Princewill, the Rivers AC strongman expects Dr. Uba and his allies to team up with Gov. Obi to restore peace in the state. Princewill advises that Uba should support Obi and jointly take Anambra State to the next level.

Knowing Mr. Peter Obi very well, Princewill knows that Obi is ever ready to accommodate the policies and programs of Dr. Uba so far it tallies with the people’s vision of restoring and placing Anambra State as the beacon of hope for the emancipation of the Ndiigbo. Princewill commends Gov. Obi on his historical and wise stance of ‘ no victor, no vanquished’, but for democracy, showing that Obi is ready to carry both Uba and every other Anambraian along in salvaging the pitiable state of Anambra.

Princewill is in concurrence with the view of another great apostle of democratic norms and one of the most outstanding Leaders from the East, the fearless Dr. Chirs Ngige “that the ruling is indeed supreme”. It would have been foolhardy to expect the Supreme Court to revert itself at such a little interval. Princewill therefore congratulates the Supreme Court for delivering this landmark judgment and for giving Anambra State indigenes a new lease of life.”

However, Princewill expects that the views of this great sage and son of Anambra will be of a use to both Dr. Uba and lovers of Anambra State as whole, so that they can rally around Gov. Obi to move Anambra forward. Princewill hopes that further hostility and tension occasioned by unnecessary political schemes and wrangling will be put to rest in order to allow the people’s choice in person of Obi to implement his pragmatic, egalitarian and holistic agenda geared towards restoring Anambra State to its past glory and proper place among States in the federation.

To Princewill, he sees this era judgment in Anambra State as a hope for political stability in the Rivers State, anticipating that Dr. Abiye Sekibo will see reasons and the futility of his own case. Princewill advises Sekibo to withdraw his case against the Rivers State government.

Princewill, through Rivers AC commends the Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Port Harcourt for dismissing Mr. Arthur Kalagbo of African Renaissance Party (ARP). This was following the petition of Kalagbo seeking to annul the election in Rivers State for incoherence, lack of locus standi and most importantly incompetent. Rivers AC believes that this judgment is vindication of its earlier stand that Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi has come to stay as the Governor of Rivers State till October, 2011.

Princewill advises that the earlier other petitioners withdraws their cases before the Tribunal and team up with the progressives in the State to move Rivers State forward the better for all as Amaechi has being divinely endorsed to rule the State at the moment and no Jupiter can act otherwise about it.
