Sharia and 13-year old wife of Yerima

Senator Ahmed Yerima, the former governor of Zamfara State, who spearheaded the Sharia system of governance in the northern part of Nigeria; if he is a role model of Sharia, then the system should be discarded to avoid giving Islam bad name.

There is nothing on this earth except for lust and greed that a man nearing his sixty could condescend to marrying a 13-year old girl that could easily pass as his granddaughter. Yerima had divorced his fourth wife in order enabling him the pretence of keeping with the Islamic injunction that you can only marry maximum four women at a time. Thereafter, he shamefully made for the 13-year old Egyptian girl. I feel Yerima should be meted with Sharia law for this idiotic and shameless sodomy act. The parents of the girl should also share in the blame. The Senate where Yerima sits in session making laws for the nation, would have been included in this abuse but for it stating that Yerima is on his own in this matter. 

Genuine Muslims should openly admonish Yerima for this shameful act. I was happy to read in one of the Friday (24 th April, 2010) newspapers that the girl has been sent back to Egypt.
